Mae Muller jokes about Eurovision result on TikTok as fans say she 'deserved better'

Mae Muller has shared a fun TikTok addressing her Eurovision Song Contest result after finishing second to last. The 25-year-old, who is set to perform at Hits Live, represented the UK on Saturday (13th May) with her track 'I Wrote A Song'.

She received 24 points and finished in 25th place out of 26th entrants after taking part in the Grand Final at Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena. Now, Mae has has taken to TikTok to joke about the result.

Mae shared a short video featuring the text: 'when someone asks me how well i did at eurovision'. (sic) In the video, Mae laughs as she puts on a pair of sunglasses and lip synchs to the words: 'well...well...next question...see ya!' (sic)

Captioning the viral video, Mae wrote: 'don't know about u but i had a fab time.' (sic) Fans quickly took to the comments section to show their love for Mae and praise her performance.

One person said: 'YOU DID SO WELL. DESERVED BETTER.' Someone else added: 'You were amazing and you had fun on stage.' Meanwhile, Cyprus' Eurovision entrant Andrew Lambrou commented: 'You did amazing that's how you went!!!'

Mae also took to Twitter to thank fans for their support after the contest, which was won by Swedish entrant Loreen. Mae wrote: 'i just want to say thank u x.

'i know i joke a lot but we really put our all into the last few months, not the result we hoped for but so proud of everyone & what we achieved on this journey. Congrats to all the countries, I’ll never forget this journey and I love you all.' (sic)

Mae will return to the M&S Bank Arena stage on 26th May as she performs in front of a sold-out crowd at Hits Live Liverpool.
