Almost a year after the Manchester terror attack, Ariana Grande has given her first TV interview on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. The singer joined the popular TV host to speak about her new music, including her album 'Sweetener' which is due out later this year, and her most recent single 'No Tears Left To Cry'.

It was towards the end of the interview that Jimmy Fallon mentioned it was the singer's first interview since the terror attack, which killed 22 people in Manchester last year.

Jimmy said, "I just wanted to say, thank you so much for coming on our show and for being strong and for entertaining, for showing up and going back to Manchester and doing a benefit concert. I thought that was awesome of you and I just think you're so strong."

Ariana responded quietly by saying "Thanks, thank you."

Jimmy then went on to read a few lines from an essay Ariana posted online. While she listened to the words she continued to try to hold back the tears.

While on the talk show Ariana also confirmed the name for her new album would be 'Sweetener' saying, "It's kind of about bringing light to a situation, or to someone's life, or someone else who brings light to your life."

She also revealed she'll be be doing something big 'every 20th' and there are three '20ths' until the 'big thing'. Reading between the lines it looks like we can expect Ariana's new album in around three month's time.

Last month Ariana released her first new music since the Manchester terror attack. The music video for her song 'No Tears Left To Cry' included a beautiful tribute to her fans who lost their lives by including a bee which is the symbol for Manchester.

On the 22th May 2017 22 people's lives were tragically cut short. Victims from the night were Alison Howe, Angelika Klis, Chloe Rutherford, Eilidh MacLeod, Elaine McIver, Georgina Callander, Jane Tweddle, John Atkinson, Liam Curry, Lisa Lees, Marcin Klis, Kelly Brewster, Megan Hurley, Michelle Kiss, Nell Jones, Olivia Campbell-Hardy, Saffie Roussos, Sorrell Leczkowski, Wendy Fawell, Courtney Boyle, Philip Tron and Martyn Hett.

After the tragic events in May last year, Ariana chose to take a break from music and has posted very little on her social media accounts since.
