Best places to spot dolphins along Northern Ireland's coast

Nothing beats seeing dolphins in the wild 🐬

Author: Emma Dickson

With the Irish Sea to the east and the Atlantic Ocean to the west, we are surrounded by flourishing waters on all sides. Northern Ireland’s coast is filled with an abundance of wildlife, offering exciting sightseeing opportunities from both land and sea.

Mammals including porpoises, seals and dolphins regularly inhabit Irish waters, while you may also be lucky enough to see different types of sharks, whales and birds too.

It’s important to stay vigilant as our oceans spring to life in the summer months. The warm weather brings an array of marine life, including jellyfish. Don't forget that although they might be washed up on the shore, jellyfish can still sting.

There's one sight that will instantly put a smile on your face when you spot them in the wild...a dolphin of course!

Our listeners have been sending us fantastic pictures and videos recently, showing us just how cool our coastline is 👇
