Stacey Solomon hits out at airbrushing with photos showing her edited AND natural body

Former X Factor star Stacey Solomon has hit back at airbrushing in the media with a defiant photoshoot showing the differences between edited photos and her natural body.

Brave Stacey, 28, has proved once again that she's the queen of body confidence after taking part in a photoshoot for magazine Celebrity Secrets.

In the photos, she's wearing a very bright and eye-catching green bikini - but she's asked the mag to publish both the natural photos of her body as it really is, as well as the edited photos.

In the first pair of photos, Stacey is standing straight on, looking the camera dead in the eye with a sassy and defiant look on her face. In the second, she's stood with her back to the camera so that readers can see the differences there too.

She posted the second pair of images to her Instagram page with an inspiring caption.

She wrote, 'This is how scary airbrushing can be... just remember when you’re looking at someone’s post or in a mag or poster you might not be looking at real life images!

'I’m so proud of the interview and shoot I did with @celebritysecretsmag highlighting how dangerous this kind of body morphing is and why all bodies should be celebrated no matter what shape or size!' sic

She then added, 'I look better UN airbrushed in my opinion and love my natural lumps and bumps!" before ending the post: "Love yourself because you’re perfect.' sic

This comes after Stacey went viral last summer when she posted a hilarious video of herself in a bikini on holiday celebrating her body.

Stacey later spoke to Closer Online about the moment she realised she wanted to become a champion for body positivity.

She said, "I think seeing myself in a national paper being told that I don't look good because my boobs are saggy made me feel really uncomfortable because I like my boobs."

"I don't have a problem with them," she said, adding, "And I wouldn't want anyone to think that because they've had kids or breastfed – or they've just got saggy boobs – that there's anything wrong with their body.

"And then doing Body Stories with Loose Women made me realise that so many intelligent, powerful, kind-hearted women are body conscious when they've got no reason to be and I think it's because of all the unrealistic, airbrushed images that they see every single day.

"I just thought I don't want to be a part of that cause - I want to fight against it in any way that I can."
