Olivier Awards 2020 nominees revealed with new musical &Juliet leading the way

The new musical has a whopping nine nominations across a variety of categories.

The Olivier Awards nominations have been revealed!

All 26 categories were announced Live on Facebook by Waitress star Gavin Creel and Six star Alexia McIntosh.

Leading the way this year with a huge nine categories is the Max Martin jukebox musical &Juliet which has been nominated for Best New Musical, Best Actress in a Musical, Best Set Design and Best Costume Design to name a few.

It's closely followed by last year's Trevor Nyman revival of Fiddler on the Roof which has had eight nominations including Best Director.

Following behind those are Mary Poppins with six nominations and Dear Evan Hansen.

Magic Radio's category of Best Musical Revival is full of fantastic shows - Evita at the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, Fiddler on the Roof at the Playhouse Theatre, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat at The London Palladium and Mary Poppins at the Prince Edward Theatre.

Congratulations to all of this year's nominees! Now the wait is on to find out who the winners are on Sunday 5th April when they will all head to the prestigious Royal Albert Hall for the most start studded night in theatre.
