After much anticipation, the 2018 John Lewis Christmas advert is here and it's going to leave your heart feeling warm and your head excited for Christmas. This year's advert features British superstar, singer and songwriter Sir Elton John, and shows him in present day playing his piano and tracks back through his life to the moment he first received his piano as a gift.
The advert titled, 'The Boy and the Piano', features Sir Elton John playing his hit 'Your Song' and how it's evolved over time. 'Your Song' was first released nearly 50 years ago and proves to be a timeless classic in the heartwarming Christmas advert that aims to spread the message that 'Sometimes a gift isn't just a gift'.

Sir Elton John spoke about his feelings about the advert and said, "The John Lewis Christmas campaign has so many warm memories for me and my family.
"It's been a lovely opportunity for me to reflect on my life in music and the incredible journey I have been on, and how first playing my grandmother’s piano marks the moment when music came into my life.
"The ad is absolutely fantastic and I've truly loved every minute of being a part of it."
This is the second time that John Lewis and Partners have used the song as back in 2010 Ellie Goulding recorded a version of the song for use on their Christmas advert, 'A Tribute To Givers'.
