Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan celebrate 35 years since 'Especially For You'

Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan have celebrated 35 years since their iconic collaboration 'Especially For You' was released. The track came out on 28th November 1988 and reached Number 1 on the UK Singles Chart.

Taking to Instagram, Kylie shared a series of sweet throwback images with Jason, along with the caption: '35 years of Especially For You … Aaahh!! @jdonofficial where has the time gone??!!? 😝💗.'

Jason also shared the post to his Instagram Story, simply adding: '35 years.' Underneath Kylie's post, many fans shared their love for the song.

One person said: 'Still one of the greatest duets of all time! How about re-recording it together and a new video & single release to mark the anniversary?' Another fan tagged a friend and wrote: '35 years! Still love this song as much as I did then.'

Another person commented: 'This was the first single I ever bought with my own pocket money!' One fan said: 'Fab song! Brings back so many memories for us all growing up in the eighties! Scary how time as flown. Seems like only a few years ago!!'

Someone else added: 'The best duet ever.' Another person said: 'A classic', whilst one fan wrote: 'I remember dancing around the living room to this on record when I was 5 years old.'

Kylie and Jason famously starred together as Scott and Charlene in Neighbours, with the pair featuring in the finale episode of the iconic soap, before it was later revived on Amazon Freevee 'Especially For You' featured on Jason's debut album, 'Ten Good Reasons.'
