Spandau Ballet reveal the replacement for lead singer Tony Hadley

For years Tony Hadley was synonymous with Spandau Ballet, however when it was announced last year that he would be leaving the popular 90s group, many were wondering who could step up to take his place. Now, it has finally be revealed who will be the new lead singer of the group that brought us hits like 'True' and 'Gold'.
Singer and actor Ross William Wild has now been announced as the replacement and will officially join the group when they appear on stage at London's Subterania club on the 6th June.
According to reports Ross is a 30-year-old singer and actor and has previously impersonated the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley. Although not a huge amount is known about the new Spandau Ballet member, his Instagram feed has us envious with plenty of holiday photos, including Budapest with his parents and Cannes for the film festival.
The BBC reports that Ross first met Spandau Ballet's bassist Martin Kemp two years ago when Ross was performing as Elvis in the musical Million Dollar Quarter. You can see a short clip of what to expect with the new singer below.
The news seems to have gone down well with fans who have been taking to Twitter to congratulate the singer, saying it's 'amazing news' and wishing him the 'best of luck'.
Spandau Ballet's debut single was 'To Cut a Long Story Short' which reached number 5 in the UK in the early 80s, and was the start of several top 10 hits. The band's only number one was 'True', released in 1983 which was followed by 'Gold', which reached number 2.
The band then split in the 90s following arguments over money. They reformed back in 2009, however last year lead singer Tony Hadley revealed he would be leaving.
