Kensington Palace has confirmed who will be walking Meghan Markle down the aisle in the absence of her father, who is unable to attend the big day due to having heart surgery. The statement was made on Twitter by Kensington Palace which read,

The statement released yesterday on behalf of Meghan said, 'Sadly, my father will not be attending our wedding. I have always cared for my father and hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health. I would like to thank everyone who has offered generous messages of support. Please know how much Harry and I look forward to sharing our special day with you on Saturday.'

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's engagement was announced last November, with the couple posing shortly afterwards with an official photoshoot, where we had the chance to see the beautiful engagement ring, designed by Prince Harry.
