If you're totally obsessed with Netflix show 13 Reasons Why then we've got some good news for you, after much speculation it's been confirmed there will be a series two!

After weeks of speculation about whether the popular, yet controversial show, will return for more episodes Netflix confirmed the news last night when they shared a teasing video.

Posting an eerie trailer involving the well known locations from series one, the caption read, 'Their story isn't over. Season 2 of 13 Reasons Why is coming'.

Executive producer Selena Gomez also confirmed the news by sharing the same trailer and caption to her Instagram followers.

Fans were quick to comment on the news. One user wrote, 'OMG! I can't wait for season 2', with another adding, 'Omg, Omg, Omg! Can't wait!'.

After the heartbreaking and tragic events involving Hannah Baker in series one, many fans were left wondering how creator Brian Yorkey would create a second series, but there are many unanswered questions fans are craving the answers for.

Does Alex survive? Will Bryce be punished for his actions? Will loveable Clay Jensen ever find love?

Despite series two being confirmed, no further details are yet to be announced, including when the new episodes will land on Netflix.

Since landing on the popular TV streaming platform back in March, 13 Reasons Why has divided opinion with viewers due to the tragic nature of the storyline.

The show, which stars the likes of Katherine Langford and Dylan Minnette, shows teenager Hannah take her own life after struggling to deal with her surroundings.

Not long after her death, Hannah's classmate Clay finds a box of tapes made by Hannah before her death, in which she explains the reasoning behind her difficult choice.

Whilst some viewers heaped praise on the programme for documenting the difficulties struggling teenagers go through, others have criticised the show claiming it has 'dramatised teenage suicide'.

Netflix have since added stronger warnings before and after the episodes.

You can watch episode 1-13 of series one on Netflix now.
