Ever been annoyed about the way your favourite TV show has finished? Well that could be about to change as Netflix’s latest feature allows viewers to decide how their shows finish.

The feature called ‘interactive storytelling’ is about ‘pushing the bounds of storytelling’ and allows the viewer to decide what the characters will do and how the story progresses.

The feature was two and half years in the making and according to Netflix is all making ‘the members’ experience better’

The bad news? At the moment the streaming company is trialling it on children’s TV shows. Forthcoming Netflix programme Buddy Thunderstruck: The Maybe Pile will give viewers eight different choices to make throughout the show that can lead to four different possible endings.

But it looks like the company is open to rolling the feature out to larger audience. When asked if the technology would be applied for shows for adults. Carla Engelbrecht Fisher, Director of Product Innovation said: "We have built the tools to be able to offer this to our creators, who have stories to tell. It's all about the stories.
