Love Island fans have witnessed Chris Hughes letting out all of his emotions in the past week, after having arguments with his on/off girlfriend Olivia Attwood and then eventually ending things.

After seeing the Chris break down a number of times, viewers were left concerned during last night's episode when he seemed to go missing during the latest task.

The boys of the villa had to impress their ladies by performing a Magic Mike style dance for them, with the girls fitted with heart rate monitors, whichever boy set their heart rate up the most was crowned the winner.

However after witnessing all of the boys do their thing, Chris' absence was noticeable, leading to viewers to take to Twitter to express their concerns.

Despite questions being asked by the viewers, bosses of the show are yet to reveal why Chris was absent during the task, but it is being reported he was in bed poorly.

Whilst Olivia blames Chris' crying for her being unpopular with the viewing public, Chris has actually been praised by a charity called Signpost Counselling for showing his emotions.

Taking to their official Twitter page during last night's episode, the charity wrote, 'They say men younger & older don't feel safe to show their emotions ... shout out to Chris #LoveIsland for being himself and bearing all 💔'.

Poor Chris ❤️

In other Love Island news, Sam and Mike were quick to get to know the girls ahead of tonight's recoupling.

Whilst Middlesbrough boy Sam kept his options open, it seems like Mike could be swayed by the charms of former TOWIE star Georgia Harrison, despite revealing he wants to get his 'revenge' on Olivia.

With the recoupling taking place tonight, will Sam and Mike cause friction between the already paired couples, or will they choose to go with single girls Tyla and Georgia?

We just hope Jamie and Camilla (AKA Jamilla) don't get split up!

After gracing our screens every single night for nearly two months, Love Island will come to an end on Monday 24th July!

Despite rumours that bosses were planning to extend the series due to its massive popularity, it was confirmed on Wednesday there are less than two weeks left!

SOB! 😭

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
