Fans were left delighted earlier in the week when ITV2 reality show Love Island finally returned to TV, however it seems not everybody is a fan of this year's cast, with some viewers highlighting a number of 'similarities' to the famous Love Island stars from the last series.

On Monday night, six new girls and five new boys entered the new and improved Majorca villa and quickly coupled up in the first coupling round.

However it didn't take long for viewers to spot some major similarities with last year's cast, including both their looks and personality.

Viewers were quick to express their thoughts on Twitter.

Perhaps the most striking similarity is new girl Amber to Kady McDermott from last year's series.

A tweet, which shows a number of cast members' similarities, has been retweeted more that 20,000 times by fans of the show.

However despite a lot of people pointing out the similarities, it seems Kady isn't happy with fans and has since hit back.

Kady retweeted a fan's tweet which read, 'Amber are not alike ok calling Amber the new Kady is exactly what we're NOT gonna do'. sic

Other lookalikes fans have pointed out between this years' and last year's cast include Camila Thurlow and Zara Holland, Montana Brown and Malin Andersson and Dom Lever and Alex Bowen.

The original tweet which read, 'When ur ex downgrades but has a type' sic, has now been added to the Love Island reactions fan page on Instagram.

Other fans think Essex boy Kem Cetinay, who is currently trying to couple up with Amber, is the double of last year's winner Nathan Massey.

Kem was originally coupled up with his best friend's ex-girlfriend Chloe, but after realising there was no spark between the pair, the model seemed to be getting on nicely with Amber.

Two brand new boys entered the villa at the end of last night's show, 26-year-old Jonny Mitchell and 24-year-old Chris Hughes.

Viewers will see more of the newbies on tonight's show where they will each take one of the girls on a date.

Love Island continues on ITV2 tonight at 9pm.
