Dumped Love Islander Connor reveals he WILL wait for Sophie

After last night's dramatic episode of Love Island, which saw Siannise Fudge and Rebecca Gormley clashing over Luke Trotman after Rebecca surprisingly picked Luke at the latest recoupling, fans thought that was enough drama for one night.

Yet, when the show's host Laura Whitmore entered the villa, the Islanders and viewers were shook, leaving them guessing what she was about to reveal.

And arguably, in the first HUGE twist of this year's series, Sophie Piper and Connor Durman were left at risk of being dumped following the public's vote to save their favourite couple.

However, only one of the pair would be leaving, with Laura confessing their fellow co-stars would have to send only one of them home.

And unfortunately for Connor, it was his time to be sent packing, leaving Sophie heartbroken. But what we all want to know is: Will Connor and Sophie get back together on the outside?

Admitting he was shocked to be leaving the villa, Connor said, “I will wait for her. I’m in no rush to meet someone else.

“It’s still early on in the Villa. Her head could be turned. I want her to enjoy the experience. It’s a once in a lifetime thing. I wouldn’t have any grudges against her. I do just want her to be happy.”

And if he could speak to Sophie again, the 25 year old admitted he would say, “‘Follow your heart and I want you to be happy, and just enjoy the ride.’ Whatever happens, happens. And if we end up meeting up, let’s just see what happens. I just want her to be happy, really.”

However, Connor, who was branded "controlling" during his time on the dating show also confessed he fancied another contestant.

He jokingly said, “Connagh was such a good looking lad, he’s a model and he was a nice guy. Even I fancied him!"

Yet, he went on to say he and Sophie were the real deal, revealing he even got butterflies when he saw her, adding, “It was quite natural and nothing felt forced. We were just laughing all the time, we’d just sit there laughing for no reason, even when we weren’t talking.

“We definitely had that instant chemistry when we first met. I did have butterflies, she made me a bit nervous and that was a good nervous, obviously I really liked her. I haven’t had that for ages.”

Let's hope her head doesn't get turned when a new bombshell arrives then.
