Selena Gomez has dropped a brand new original song today (11th May), which will be featured on the new series of Netflix's 13 Reasons Why. Selena's song 'Back To You' is a song about regret and Selena recently explained "I want it to be a beautiful message in a really complicated way—but really fun."

Selena is an executive producer on 13 Reasons Why and she has previously recorded a version of Yaz's 'Only You' for the TV programme's soundtrack. The lyric video for 'Back To You' was dropped on YouTube yesterday and has already had nearly two million views with many fans responding in the comments section. Fans have been quick to say that Selena's voice is 'magical', 'soft and smooth' and she's so 'talented'. Watch the lyric video below.

'Back To You' is the first song from Selena this year, following on from the four songs she released last year, 'It Ain't Me', 'Bad Liar', 'Fetish' and 'Wolves' and she is believed to be working on her third solo album. Selena's previous albums both reached the top 20 in the UK and were 'Stars Dance' in 2013 and 'Revival' in 2015.

Two of Selena's songs from last year were collaborations, here are some of the other big collaborations from last year.

As well as releasing four singles last year Selena revealed to her fans that she had lupus and as a result had to have a kidney transplant. The 'Wolves' singer first released the details of her operation on Instagram sharing a photo of herself and her friend Francia holding hands in their hospital beds.

The 25-year-old wrote, 'I’m very aware some of my fans had noticed I was laying low for part of the summer and questioning why I wasn’t promoting my new music, which I was extremely proud of. So I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health.'

Then earlier this year Selena's friend Francia released further scary details of the operation. Francia explained how during Selena's operation one of her arteries had broken, and surgeons had to use a vein from her leg to build a new one, to keep Francia's donated kidney in place. "She could have died" Francia told W magazine.

Selena is now making a good recovery and continues to release music. You can hear music from Selena, including her collaboration with Marshmello 'Wolves' on KISS.
