It's been more than 15 years since boyband NSYNC treated us to hits such as 'Girlfriend' and 'Bye Bye Bye', but now there might be hope for fans around the globe. Former boyband members Justin Timberlake, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass and JC Chasez reunited in Los Angeles recently to receive a Hollywood Walk of Fame star, where the boys gave a speech.

Successful solo pop star Justin Timberlake was the final member of the group to take to the stage to thank their fans and said, "I love these four guys, we've had an incredible ride and I can't wait to see what the future holds", getting fans extremely excited that something big could be on the horizon.

As Justin stepped down the gathered fans started to chant "REUNITE"!

Watch NSYNC's acceptance speech below:

After the event, members of the boyband took to Twitter to say they were 'honored' sic to be awarded a star on the famous road in Los Angeles, with both Lance and Justin calling the other members 'brothers'.

Joey also took to Twitter posting a photo of the group with their hands on their star saying it was 'Pretty surreal'.

Since the group's last single 'Girlfriend' was released in 2002 Justin Timberlake has seen the most solo success. This year the 37-year-old entertained fans at the Super Bowl paying tribute to the late singer Prince. Playing his hits 'Can’t Stop The Feeling', 'SexyBack' and 'Suit & Tie', Justin's performance was full of perfectly choreographed with moves both on and off stage.

This year has also been a busy music year for Justin who has released his album 'Man of the Woods' and a number of singles, including 'Say Something', a collaboration with Chris Stapleton.

See which other big collaborations we have had so far this year:

Camila Cabello and Young Thug

Former Fifth Harmony singer Camila Cabello dominated the charts with her massive collaboration with Young Thug on the catchy single 'Havana'.

Whilst nothing concrete has been confirmed about an *NSYNC reunion it would be amazing news for fans.

Earlier this month we saw Beyoncé reunite with her Destiny's Child members, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, at both weekends of Coachella. There are also rumours that after the success of their reunion, it has inspired the former members to reunite at some of JAY-Z and Beyoncé's tour dates for their 'On The Run II' tour later this year.
