Oscars nominees announced - Barbenheimer battles again

The nominations for the 96th Academy Awards, better known as the Oscars have been announced.

At a ceremony in Hollywood actors Jack Quad and Zazie Beetz told us who the academy members had voted for as a shortlist for each esteemed prize.

Representatives from 93 countries were voting for their favourite movies, actors, actresses, costume, cinematography and soundtrack.

British Director Christopher Nolan's epic, Oppenheimer leads the way with 13 nominations, followed by Barbie which has Eight.

Nolan isn't the only brit to be recognised though with actresses Carey Mulligan, and Emily Blunt also getting nods as well as fellow director, Jonathan Glazer who created The Zone of Interest.
