Third contestant announced for Strictly Come Dancing 2016

The show is set to begin next month

TV presenter Laura Whitmore has become the third celebrity announced to take part in the new series of dancing show Strictly Come Dancing.

The 31-year-old, who is best known for her time presenting the I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here spin off show, says she ‘really hopes she is good’ when the show kicks off.

Speaking about her new role she said “I remember as a kid my mum said ‘one day you will do Strictly’. She’s very happy. I like to dance. When I was a kid I Irish danced one summer but I think ballroom and Latin a little bit different."

She went on to add “I’m going to train as much as possible. I really hope I’m good.”

Laura joins the already confirmed line-up of singer Will Young and politician Ed Balls and the next rumoured star to join is set to be British astronaut Tim Peake.

The 14th series of the popular competition is set to begin next month with other celebrities including Louise Redknapp and Lesley Joseph also being lined up by bosses.
