Corrie fans left bemused by song choice for Kylie Platt's funeral

It was certainly not a sad song

When Kylie Platt was viciously stabbed through the heart by thug Clayton last month, Coronation Street viewers were left in tears as the much-loved character died in her husband David's arms. However her funeral, though emotional, did have one moment that added a lightness to an otherwise sombre affair.

Instead of a sad number, the song that was chosen to play at Kylie's funeral was Destiny's Child hit 'Bootylicious'. The funeral had been planned by her 10-year-old son Max and you can see the moment here.

It seems viewers of the popular soap agreed the song choice was great.

However not all were convinced...

If viewers thought that the song choice would be an escapism from the sadness then they were wrong. Max's speech definitely pulled at the heartstrings.
