Beyoncé's mum just revealed the meaning behind Rumi's name

Not only has she confirmed Sir is called Sir Carter and not Sir Carter Carter, Beyoncé's mum Tina Knowles has also revealed the meaning behind her new granddaughter's name.
Beyoncé announced to the world last week that she'd given birth to twins Sir and Rumi Carter with her husband Jay-Z on 14th June 2017 and showed her new babies off in a spectacular photo shoot.
As the names she's chosen for her twins are rather unique, Queen Bey's mum has taken the time to reveal the meaning behind Rumi's name.
Taking to her own Instagram page, Tina shared poetry by a 13th century poet called Rumi. She wrote, 'This is poetry by the 13 th century poet "Rumi" it's not only beautiful but logical ❤️ love number three ❤️Sometimes we are the reason we can't find love!! We have to work on ourselves first to be whole❤️' sic
Fans of Beyoncé had previously suggested Rumi's name could have been in tribute to the late poet as the 'Single Ladies' singer is a huge fan of poetry and art.
TMZ are reporting that Rumi's twin brother Sir may have been named after one of the poet's most popular poems which reads:
'Bring the pure wine of love and freedom
But sir, a tornado is coming.
More wine, we’ll teach this storm
A thing or two about whirling'
After Beyoncé announced her news on the twins' one month birthday, Tina was quick to gush about her new grandchildren.
Taking to Instagram to share the now famous shot of her daughter holding her babies, Tina wrote, 'So Happy my baby shared a photo of her babies with the world ❤️❤️❤️proud grandma hello Sir Carter and Rumi Carter ❤️ 7/13/2017 Boy and girl what a blessing ❤️'
Beyoncé's new photo is quickly becoming one of the most liked Instagram photos ever! At the time of publication her new photo has just shy of 8 million likes, with her initial pregnancy announcement snap currently on 11 million likes.
As well as Rumi and Sir, super couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z also share five-year-old Blue Ivy after welcoming her on 7th January 2012.
The couple, who married on 4th April 2008, often share family snaps with Blue Ivy and just a few weeks before giving birth, Beyoncé shared a cute snap of Blue Ivy resting on her baby bump.
