Just days ahead of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's hugely-anticipated interview with American chat-host Oprah Winfrey, ITV have confirmed the two-hour long chat will be broadcast on Monday 8th March.

Airing at 9pm, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will sit down with Oprah for an intimate conversation which was pre-recorded last month.

Kevin Lygo, ITV Managing Director Media & Entertainment, said, "This interview is already a national talking point and ITV is pleased to be able to offer UK audiences the opportunity to see it."

The interview will feature former Suits actress Meghan candidly open about her time in the Royal family, motherhood, as well as her heartbreaking miscarriage last year.

Later on in the interview, Prince Harry joins the chat with his wife, speaking about that move to the US, his future responsibilities and how their hopes for expanding their family further.

The interview will air just one week after Prince Harry joined The Late Late Show with James Corden, where he spoke about his feelings towards Netflix show The Crown, and how he's 'stepping back' from the UK, rather than 'stepping down'.

He told James, "It was never walking away. It was stepping back rather than stepping down. It was a really difficult environment, which I think a lot of people saw.

"So I did what any father or husband would do and thought 'How do I get my family out of here'. But we never walked away and as far as I’m concerned, whatever decisions are made on that side, I will never walk away.

'‘My life is public service so wherever I am in the world it’s going to be the same thing."

Of course, after welcoming their first child back in May 2009, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently confirmed they are extending their family, with Meghan pregnant with the couple's second child.

A spokesperson for Meghan and Harry said last month, “We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child.”
