We've already had the amazing songs 'Flowers' and 'Jaded' from Miley Cyrus this year, along with her album 'Endless Summer Vacation', but it seems she's not done with giving her fans new music, as she's now released a new song called 'Used To Be Young'.
On the day of release, Miley took to her socials to share an emotional statement, writing: 'This song is about honoring who we’ve been, loving who we are & celebrating who we will become. I feel proud when reflecting on my past and joyful when thinking about the future. I am grateful to my loyal fans who make my dreams a reality daily. I am sincerely thankful for the stability of your steadfast support. This song is for you.

So far the fans' response to Miley's latest offering has been very understanding of what her song is about. One fan wrote: 'Growing up with you & now seeing how much we both have grown up, I’m a mom of 3 and this song just hits different. I love you ! Love this season of your life so happy for you!❤️'. Another commented: 'I remember being young and listening to See You Again on repeat — IN COLLEGE! And you were just a baby then. Now you’re a gorgeous woman. Glad to have been a witness to all your different stages of growth. 🫶🏻'. (sic)

Yes, there is on the day of the song's release, Miley also released the music video. The video features Miley standing in the dark wearing a white Mickey Mouse top covered by a red sequinned bodice.
How did Miley promote her new song?
Taking the old skool approach of putting posters up around big cities, Miley started promoting her song called 'Used To Be Young'. Fans took to social media to share photos of the posters which show her recreating her iconic look from the 2013 MTV VMAs, where she wore a latex bikini on stage with Robin Thicke.
The posters also featured lyrics from several of Miley's previous songs including: 'I hopped off the plane at LAX' from 'Party in the USA' and 'I came in like a wrecking ball', from her song 'Wrecking Ball'.
The last set of posters feature the lyric: 'I say I used to be young'.
These appeared around the world including in Los Angeles and France, where fans shared their pics on social media.
After a few days of teasing, Miley then confirmed her new music, the singer posted twice on social media confirming the name of the song and the release date of 25th August.
The singer previously opened up in an interview with British Vogue, revealing back in May that the single would be released "soon".
Then, earlier in August, as she celebrated 10 years since the release of 'Bangerz'. On the American merchandise store there was a subtle hint that her new music could be coming, as the description for 'Bangerz' highlighted the song name by capitalising the first letters of the song title.
It read: 'Celebrate the 10th anniversary of Miley Cyrus’ 3x Platinum album Bangerz. Reflect back on when Miley Used To Be Young by revisiting the beloved original hits such as “Wrecking Ball,” “We Can’t Stop,” and “Adore You,” in an updated packaging featuring never seen before photos and the bonus track “23” with Mike WiLL Made-It.'

Miley released some of her lyrics before dropping the song. She explained in the caption: 'Used To Be Young. August 25th. These lyrics were written almost 2 years ago at the beginning of my ESV. It was at a time I felt misunderstood. I have spent the last 18 months painting a sonic picture of my perspective to share with you. The time has arrived to release a song that I could perfect forever. Although my work is done, this song will continue to write itself everyday. The fact it remains unfinished is a part of its beauty. That is my life at this moment ….. unfinished yet complete.
