Singer and songwriter Mabel released a beautiful cover version of Cyndi Lauper's 80's anthem 'Time After Time' today (12th November). The song features in McDonald's new Christmas advertising campaign, and is now available on Polydor Records. 10p from every download will go to FareShare, the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors.

McDonald's has joined the Christmas advert trend along with many other retailers. Last year their Christmas advert showed an emotional story about embracing your inner child, with a cover of Alphaville's 'Forever Young' sung by Becky Hill.

Mabel previously released her own Christmas song 'Loneliest Time Of Year' in 2019, and will now have another exciting Christmas moment with her soulful take of 'Time After Time'.

Listen to Mabel's cover of 'Time After Time':

The singer found fame with her debut album 'High Expectations', which came out in 2019 and was the biggest selling debut by a British woman that year. Ahead of her next album, she released the singles 'Let Them Know' in June 2021 and 'I Wish' with Joel Corry in October.

Mabel's summer tune 'Let Them Know' became her tenth Top 20 hit. The song was described as 'Song of the summer' by The Guardian and 'Sassy, savvy pop perfection' by the Sunday Times, while Clash said that the song 'Pushes Mabel further into the pantheon of star status, all while retaining the relatable charm that brought her success in the first place'.

The BRIT Award winner returned to live performances this year and is scheduled to appear at Hits Live in Liverpool on 19th November.
