Little Mix's retro 'Bounce Back' video gets 8 million views in just three days

Little Mix - AKA Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, and Jesy Nelson - dropped their fantastic new song 'Bounce Back' on Friday 14th June, dropped their fantastic new song 'Bounce Back' on Friday 14th June 2019, releasing the music video shortly after.

Set inside a dollhouse, the 'Bounce Back' video sees the pop stars having a 90s party, periodically taking on dolls' poses, almost like the Internet mannequin challenge of a few years ago! The video had over 8 million views on YouTube just three days after it was released, and now has well over 40 million views.

After teasing fans with a new single, the girls finally announced the name and release date at the end of May 2019 posting a short teaser clip on their socials along with the artwork.

Captioning the post with the release date of the 14th June, and the lyrics from the clip, '#SteadyAreYouReady❓#BounceBack #June14th', the very pink artwork shows the girls with their backs to the camera, sitting on inflatables next to an inflatable palm tree giving this new music serious summer vibes.

Then, just four days before its release, Little Mix released another teaser, writing, 'We’ve heard through the grapevine you guys want another teaser. We’ve heard something’s coming in 3,2...1...'

The song interpolates from ‘Back To Life’ by Soul II Soul, released in 1989.

When did Little Mix release ‘Bounce Back’?

‘Bounce Back’ - Little Mix’s 22nd UK single - was released on 14th June 2019. Confirming the single’s release on Instagram, the girls took to their socials earlier to confirm the new single was available, with a short clip from the song.

Looking rather 80s, the girls could be seen dancing with a ghetto blaster, which was possibly a nod to the sample song which was released in 1989.

Just one day before the release, Jade shared a hilarious, yet possibly painful, outtake from the music video. Posting the Boomerang on Instagram, Jade asked her fans to caption the footage, which shows a large beach ball bouncing right into her face!

Although it hasn’t won the girls any awards, the song was certified Silver by the BPI.

Who wrote ‘Bounce Back' for Little Mix?

The original writers for ‘Back To Life’ are credited as songwriters, but the song was also co-written by former Fifth Harmony member Normani!

Which album did it appear on?

The song was a non-album single, but does appear on the Japanese deluxe edition of Little Mix’s sixth album ‘Confetti’, which was released on 6th November 2020.
