Calum Scott has now released his first song of 2024, 'Lighthouse'. The singer, who is currently on tour, supporting Ed Sheeran in Dubai, took to Instagram to share a video introducing his new song.

In the video he told his fans: "Hey guys! I'm absolutely buzzing to let you know that 'Lighthouse', my new single, is out now on all your streaming platforms. I'm actually here in Dubai supporting Ed Sheeran on the 'Mathematics' Tour, but I'm sending all my love from here in Dubai to everywhere around the world."

Calum also released the lyric video for his song, which features a stormy sea, and thundery sky, with a lighthouse shining through the darkness, as the words appear on screen. While the song progresses, the sea becomes calmer as the sun rises.

Despite it only being a few hours since the song was released, fans have been loving it, with one writing: 'I've heard this song six times in a row, and I love it! It's one of those songs you could listen to while driving home on a rainy day or night, and come home to that someone special! It could be anybody you love. It's such a refreshing power ballad! Thank you, Calum, for this one! I hope it wins you a Grammy next year.'

Another wrote: 'I want someone to sing this song to me!! It's just so beautiful and soothing💛💛'.

Recently Calum spoke to us, when he told us about his third album. He said: "I'm constantly working towards an album because they’re chapters of your life."

He added: "My first album ('Only Human') I was just like 'I can’t believe I get to do this'! I’ve gone from working at Hull City Council, literally talking about Sandra and her off street parking, to touring the world.

"Album two ('Bridges') was more mature, talked about some mental health issues and stuff and then this album I think I’ve spread my wings a bit, it’s a new era."

Speaking to us, Calum said: "Ed wrote a song for David Guetta and I vocaled it, sent it to David and Ed (Sheeran) and David emailed me back and said: ‘You sound good. David.’ I was like I don’t know how to take that! I texted back and replied ‘I’m here if you need me. Calum.’ He’s not messaged back!"
