Will it be another ‘nil points’ for the United Kingdom?

When is the Eurovision Song Contest?

This year’s final takes place on Saturday 13th May, kicking off on our TV screens at 8pm.

Where is it taking place?

Following the success of Ukraine's Jamala with '1944' last year, this year's contest will be in Kiev.

Who is representing the United Kingdom?

Lucie Jones will be representing the UK this year. Lucie met up with our Entertainment Team and told us how she was preparing for the show.

Do the UK have any chance of winning?

The last time the UK won the Eurovision Song Contest was in 1997 with Katrina and the Waves, currently the odds of the UK winning the competition vary from 60/1 to 25/1. Good luck Lucie!

Who is favourite to win?

Italy's entry is currently the favourite to win with some betting companies putting the odds of them winning at 4/7.

How long will the show last?

This year’s Eurovision is expected to last a whopping three and a half hours so sit back, relax and get the food and drinks in!

Your guide to the new voting system

Every Eurovision fan will know how lengthy the voting system can be and last year the show underwent some radical changes. In previous years both viewers and professional juries’ results have been combined, each accounting for 50 per cent of the vote.

However, now the juries and TV voters will award a separate set of points from 1-8, 10 and 12. Still confused? Check out the official voting guide video below:
