Fans of the original Mamma Mia film are ecstatic over the upcoming release of the sequel, set to be released in the UK on 20th July. The film, entitled Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, will be unveiled to the public a decade after the original film, released in 2008, came out.

But whilst most of the original cast have been confirmed to return, there's been one question on every fan's lips - is Meryl Streep set to reprise her role as Donna Sheridan?

Fans of the film were already aware that Amanda Seyfried would be returning as Sophie Sheridan, that Dominic Cooper, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgård, Christine Baranski and Julie Walters would be reprising their roles.

They were also aware that British star Lily James would be playing a young Donna, with music legend Cher joining the cast as Donna's mother.
