After Love Island stars Chris Hughes and Olivia Attwood announced their break-up earlier this week, many fans thought it was simply a publicity stunt to promote their upcoming new TV show.

However, appearing on today's episode of Loose Women, a heartbroken Olivia revealed things are 100% over between the couple, with Chris being the one to end their relationship.

Speaking to the Loose Women panel, Olivia held back her tears as she described the awful moment she was forced to have her break-up filmed for the pair's new TV show, Chris and Olivia: Crackin' On.

Recalling the raw moment, Olivia said, "He wanted me to drive to the house. It was real and that was the first time I'd seen him.

"Obviously I'm not going to be able to watch it. It was horrendous to live it. I wanted to wait until the cameras were gone and be with Chris on our own."

When asked if she was able to spend time with Chris after the cameras stopped rolling, Olivia admitted she did speak to him, but he was adamant their relationship was over.

After Loose Women star Stacey Solomon read out a letter from Chris, Olivia struggled to hold back her tears, admitting she has mixed emotions from Chris' words.

Despite not always coming across 'genuine' with Love Island viewers, it seems the majority of viewers felt sorry for Olivia after her interview on today's show.

Many took to Twitter to express their heartbreak for the reality star:

Despite the split, Olivia revealed the pair are still in contact and have to continue with PR meetings to promote their upcoming new ITV2 show.

With the show expected to air in the coming months, viewers are set to get an insight into what their life was like after leaving Love Island, all the way up until the moment their relationship ended last week.

Chris and Olivia are just one of the Love Island 2017 couples that have ended their romances since they left the famous villa.
