As the Beast from the East continues to cause havoc with heavy snow showers and strong winds across the country, it seems even the Dancing On Ice contestants can't escape the bitterly cold spell.

Just like many people across the country, the storm has caused chaos for the celebrity contestants to travel to training, with awful road conditions.

And now it has been revealed that Love Island winner Kem Cetinay and former X Factor star Jake Quickenden were involved in minor car accidents on the way to training this morning (Thursday 1st March).

As Coronation Street actress Brooke Vincent appeared on This Morning alongside her professional partner Matej Silecky to chat about her upcoming routine, Dancing On Ice host Phillip Schofield revealed the havoc the storm is causing.

He said, "We got a text from our boss this morning, Katie Rawcliffe on Dancing On Ice - snow causing havoc for the celebs. Jake and Kem were both in minor car accidents on their way to training, both in separate cars.

"Jake had to abandon his car but both are fine."

Phillip's co-host Holly Willoughby then added, '"Oh my gosh."

Giving more information about the accident, Kem took to his Instagram Story to explain what had happened.

He said, "We've had an absolute nightmare this morning, me and Jake were driving to skating in two separate cars down the lanes. Jake's car has spun out, smashed into two cars and I've lost control and did a 360 turn and landed in a bush." sic

After being stuck in a 15 car pile up, Kem and Jake joined forces and decided to abandon their cars, and instead walk to training. The boys found warm clothing in their cars, with Kem wearing a red dressing gown over his clothes.

That's dedication! 👏

Ahead of the semi-final of Dancing On Ice, we spoke to professional skaters Brandee Malto and Matt Evers who revealed who they think will win the series...
