Strictly Come Dancing star announces baby news in cute post

Former JLS star Aston Merrygold may be about to appear on the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing, but he's got more exciting news to share with fans!

The singer has revealed his girlfriend Sarah Richards is expecting their first child together. Aston, who found fame on The X Factor back in 2008, revealed the exciting news via a super cute Instagram photo.

Sharing a photo of himself and Sarah sat at their dinner table with a sign saying 'reserved', the pair had both blue and pink balloons with the photo saying, 'Could it be pink?' and 'Could it be blue?'.

In the caption Aston revealed the happy couple discovered their news on 29th May and added he promises to be 'the best daddy'.

He wrote, 'On May 29th 2017 we found out that our lives were going to change forever! This secret has been so hard to keep, but I'm so excited to finally be able to share the news with everybody that me and my beautiful lady @sarahlourichards are going to be parents!!!!!! 😃❤🌍😍 I'm NEVER speechless but words can't describe how I feel.. All I know is there's no feeling like it! Sar I promise to be the best daddy ever to our baby boy/girl. You are an amazing woman and going to be the greatest mum to our child! Thank you for continuously making me the happiest man ever! I love you❤ hurry up bump we can't wait to meet you 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃' sic

The couple have been together for over four years, with Aston admitting earlier in the year they are ready to settle down and start a family.

29-year-old Aston was the eighth contestant to be confirmed for this year's Strictly Come Dancing** **last month, with bosses announcing the news on Twitter.

Sharing a short video of Aston, the tweet read, 'Popstar to dance sensation? JLS singer @AstonMerrygold is celebrity number eight for #Strictly 2017'.

Aston joins the star-studded line-up of Key 103's Gemma Atkinson, This Morning star Ruth Langsford and former star of The Saturdays Mollie King.

This year's cast attended the glitzy red carpet launch party last week, with all of this year's celebrities and professionals looking stunning in their sequins.

Aston will be hoping his days in boyband JLS will help him out on the show. JLS, made up of Aston, Marvin Humes, Oritsé Williams and JB Gill, appeared on The X Factor back in 2008.

Despite finishing in second place to Alexandra Burke, JLS went on to achieve massive success in the UK with hits such as 'Beat Again', 'Everybody In Love' and 'One Shot'.

After selling over 10 million records worldwide, the band went their separate ways in 2013 and announced they'd split up.

Aston later joined TV show Got To Dance as a judge on Sky 1 and recently released his debut solo single 'Get Stupid'
