Tonight the BRITs 2018 nominations were announced at what is being described as a 'mini BRITs' ahead of the main event on the 21st February at the O2 in London.

During a show presented by Emma Willis BRIT nominees Paloma Faith, Clean Bandit, Liam Payne and J Hus took to the stage to perform their hits, but it was Dua Lipa who came away with the most nominations this year.

With her massive hit from last year, 'New Rules' being nominated for Best Single, the singer was also nominated for British Female Solo Artist, British Breakthrough, Mastercard British Album Of The Year, and she has also been shortlisted for British Video Artist of the Year which is open to a public vote on Twitter.

Although he had a fantastic 2017 Ed Sheeran failed to beat Dua and was nominated for four BRIT Awards, whilst J Hus and Rag 'n' Bone Man have three nominations each. Liam Payne was also nominated for his first two solo BRIT Awards.

During The BRITs Are Coming Clean Bandit performed a medley of two of their songs, 'Symphony' and 'I Miss You'. Taking the audience by surprise the band performed suspended high above the stage.

Their performance was a hit with both the studio audience and viewers who couldn't quite believe their eyes with one saying it was 'unbelievable', whilst another called it 'magic'.

The BRIT Awards will return to the O2 Arena in London on the 21st February 2018, with performances from Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Dua Lipa and more huge acts. This year's show will be hosted by award-winning actor and comedian, Jack Whitehall.
