Police are continuing to appeal for information after a gun was fired in Redditch.

At around 1.15pm on 26 March, police were called to Ombersley Close after a firearm was discharged in the street.

No-one was injured, but a car was heavily damaged.

A total of eight people have been arrested so far, including four men on suspicion of attempted murder.

Two women have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, while a man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.

All eight have since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Detective Chief Inspector Ben Arrowsmith said: “When a firearm is discharged it understandably brings huge concern to the local community.

"Thankfully in this incident nobody was hurt or even worse, killed.

"We have a dedicated team investigating what happened that afternoon, and we are still appealing to anybody who may have any information that could help our investigation."
