Doing us all proud during the UEFA Women's Euro 2022, Sarina Wiegman's squad topped Group A after winning all of their games, before beating Spain in the Quarter-Final, Sweden in the Semi-Final, and then the big one, Germany in the Final.

Did England Women win the Euros?

They certainly did! England beat Germany 2-1 after Extra Time during the Euro 2022 final at Wembley, on Sunday 31st July 2022.

The historic victory was the first time since 1966 that an England Football team have won a major tournament.

Who is the England Women's captain?

Arsenal Ladies player Leah Williamson is the current England Women's captain.

25-year-old Leah was standing in as captain for injured player Steph Houghton, and it was announced in April this year that she had been appointed captain for the Women's Euro 2022.

Speaking at the time, Leah said: "This is an incredibly proud moment for me and my family and I am honoured to be asked to lead us at the Euros.

"Steph Houghton is one of this country's all-time greats and to follow in her footsteps - and all of those special names who have led the team in the past - means so much."

Who is the England Women's manager?

Former Dutch player Sarina Wiegman is the current manager of England Women.

The 52-year-old, who gained an impressive 104 caps for her country during her playing days, took over from former manager Phil Neville in September 2021.

The 2022 Euros was Wiegman's first major tournament in charge of England Women, with the former Netherlands coach signing a four-year contract, which will see her manage the team at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2023, and the UEFA Women’s EURO in 2025.

What is the England Women's kit for Euro 2022?

The FA launched the brand new England Home and Away kit in mid-May ahead of the Women's Euro 2022 tournament.

Created by Nike, the Home jersey is the first in three years for the ladies squad, and is an all-white kit complete with angular lines of cut diamonds.

The Away jersey is equally as stylish, yet very bright. According to The FA, the crimson shirt and shorts were formed to pay tribute to all of the former players who have contributed to making women’s football what it is today.

The Women's Euro 2022 was made up of 16 teams.

Earlier this year, the 16 qualified teams were drawn into four groups of four. The top two in each group progressed to the knockout phase, which is made up of Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and the big Final.
