Love Island winners Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham are taking on a HUGE television role alongside presenting behemoth Dermot O'Leary. The loveable twosome, who captured the nation's hearts over the summer, have been announced as the red carpet and backstage correspondents at the 2019 National Television Awards.

Love Island couple Jani said, "It has already been such an exciting year for us and to top it off, we’ve been asked to work alongside TV legend Dermot O’Leary at the National Television Awards.

"Last year we were at home on the sofa watching the show so it’s an honour to be involved this year, we can’t wait! Fingers crossed Love Island is in the running on the night too. Bring on 2019!"

Sure, it's not the EastEnders role that we are still 100% convinced Dani is right for - surely Mick Carter AKA Danny Dyer AKA Dani's actual, real life dad could have a long lost daughter he doesn't know about - but we'll take it.

We just hope it pays a bit more than the rather shocking fee the stars of Love Island are talking home for this year's Christmas special.

Dani and Jack have been plagued by 'split' rumours since leaving the villa. Dani's show pal Georgia Steel seemed to add fuel to the flames when she said that she'd support Dani whatever decision she made over the relationship.

Georgia is set to appear alongside Kerry Katona and TOWIE's Pete Wicks in the upcoming series of Celebs Go Dating.

The NTAs will be broadcast on ITV from the O2 London on Tuesday 22 January at 7.30PM.
