As if the likes of Justin Timberlake, Ed Sheeran and Dua Lipa performing at this year's BRIT Awards wasn't massive enough, former One Direction star Liam Payne has also now joined the star studded line-up.

Liam, who released his first ever solo music last year, took over The BRIT Awards' Twitter account for a Q&A and he received an invite he just couldn't refuse!

Whilst answering questions from fans, Liam's friend and fellow singer Rita Ora popped up to ask him if he'd join her on stage for a performance at The BRIT Awards when they take place on Wednesday 21st February.

Watch the moment below:

Obviously Liam accepted Rita's invitation, with The BRIT Awards later confirming the news on their official Twitter account.

Liam later wrote, 'So excited to be performing at The @BRITs on Wednesday night with @RitaOra! #LiamPayneBrits'. sic

Although it hasn't been revealed what Liam and Rita will perform, the pair recently collaborated for their amazing track 'For You', which is the lead single from the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack.

When it first landed back in January, fans of the pair were delighted with the single, with some admitting it is their favourite song of the year so far!

Before Fifty Shades Freed hit cinemas, Liam and Rita dropped their very steamy video for 'For You'.

Check it out below:

Now that he's a confirmed performer, fans will also be delighted to learn that Liam now has an official BRIT Awards hashtag, which comes with a cute little emoji.

Liam joins the already star-studded performance line-up on the night. As well as himself and Rita Ora, Justin Timberlake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Stormzy, Critics’ Choice Winner Jorja Smith, Rag'n'Bone Man and The Foo Fighters are all set to light up the BRIT Awards stage.
