Poor John Kearns was starting to get worried...after three 'no answer' Cash Calls in a row, he was starting to wonder what was going on? That's never happened before!
But thankfully Éadaoin O'Kane from Derry/Londonderry picked up the phone on Tuesday (March 22nd) winning an incredible £22,222.22! In the space of just five seconds, Éadaoin's day got a whole lot brighter.
"It was by chance that I actually answered, I was in an online lecture when my phone started to ring. My first thought was OMG, this cannot be real!"
Éadaoin studies music at the North West Regional College, and dreams of performing on some of the world's biggest stages. "This win really means a lot to me. I’m a student and have a part-time job, so this money will help me buy musical equipment to help with my course."
Éadoin is part of an indie-rock band called Fake Friends, and plans on spending some her well-deserved cash on the band. "I think the first thing I’ll buy is a new bass guitar! And I'd love to treat my mum, she's been saving for a new kitchen, so that would be nice."
"My mum had actually written down the Cash Call amount for me earlier, to make sure I didn’t forget it. What are the odds I'd actually get a call from John? It's mad!"
