The 10th annual Cash for Kids Day is taking place on 27th May 2022 - proudly sponsored by Ulster Bank, this year's focus is on ‘supporting families in crisis’.
25% of children here in Northern Ireland live in poverty.
The world is an incredibly difficult place for so many of the families Cash for Kids supports as the cost of living rises.
Energy price increases, cost of living increases, the post-Covid impact, means more families have been tipped into poverty. Many have now reached crisis point, facing the very real choice of whether to ‘heat or eat’.
Continuing the support we have offered since the start of the first lockdown in 2020, Cash for Kids will again this year commit to 100% of all the funds raised being used to help families in need.
In Northern Ireland, we will be helping families with the very real and immediate need to pay for their energy bills, food costs, toiletries, clothing and other basic essentials for their children.
Find out how your donations can help go a long way
• £35 will provide one child with a basic essentials grant, to pay for things like food and toiletries
• £50 could fund a food hamper for a family, offering nutritious food provision.
• £70 could help a family living in fuel poverty heat their home
• £105 could provide well-being and activity packs for three children
• £100 could fund a new set of clothes and shoes for a child in poverty
• £1,000 could fund well-being packs for 400 children
