With the return of live music announced for July 5th, it won’t be long until we’re able to experience the thrill of seeing our favourite artists perform live.

Some major acts have graced stages in our wee country, we thought we’d do a rundown of the most surprising!

The pop megastar was crazy in love with Belfast in 2009 when she performed in the Odyssey Arena, on her I AM… tour

On her Speak Now tour in 2011, pop royalty Taylor Swift packed out the Odyssey Arena

Yes, you read that right- John, Paul, George and Ringo played The Kings Hall in November 1964. This would be the iconic groups final visit to Northern Ireland

In his first visit to the country, the rapper landed at Ward Park in Bangor in 2011 to thousands of fans as part of the Tennants Vital festival

AC/DC

It was the Highway to Belfast for the aussie rockers when they played their second ever Belfast show in 1991 to seven thousand fans in the King's Hall

Garth Brooks

The country crooner sold out five nights in the King's Hall over twenty years ago in 1998

Rihanna

After being chased by a farmer in Bangor during a video shoot, the pop princess brought her Loud tour to thousands of adoring fans in the Odyssey Arena in 2011

Nirvana

On the European leg of their tour, the grunge stars played the Kings Hall in June 1992 at the height of the bands fame

Justin Bieber

The teen pop sensation came to the green isle for the MTV EMA's when they were at the Odyssey Arena in November 2011

Kanye West

Belfast welcomed the enigmatic rapper Kanye West in 2008 when he brought his "Glow in the Dark" tour to the Odyssey Arena in 2008
