With the global domination that the Little Mix girls have right now, it's no surprise that singer Perrie Edwards is one of the hot favourites to replace Robbie and Ayda Williams on The X Factor, after they QUIT the show this morning (Friday 12th April).

Perrie, who is totally loved-up with Liverpool footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain right now, is reportedly one of the bookies' favourites to replace the married couple, leaving fans VERY excited.

One fan took to Twitter to write, 'OMG yes Perrie on X Factor needs to happen', with another writing, 'I'd totally watch Perrie on X Factor!'. sic

Well, despite the rumours being complete speculation at the moment, Perrie would certainly be a great fit on the panel, after she won the show alongside Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jesy Nelson back in 2011.

After being put into a group by Kelly Rowland on The X Factor in 2011, the Little Mix girls rocked denim and trainers as they posed at the Judges Houses' stage of the competition.

However, unsurprisingly, Perrie isn't the only name in the pipeline to replace Robbie and Ayda. As well as being tipped to replace Darcey Bussell on Strictly Come Dancing, the annual rumour of Cheryl making a return is being thrown around, as well as Alesha Dixon, Craig David and Louis Walsh.

It all comes after Robbie and Ayda announced they'd quit the popular show, due to busy work commitments.

Taking to Instagram, the pair wrote, 'A quick update from Team Williams… it’s been a very busy year so far and Vegas has been incredible - we cannot wait for June and July to do it all again. We’ve got some very big announcements coming soon - but we can’t reveal all yet. Sadly as it’s impossible to do everything, we’re gutted to tell you we won’t be able to return to The X Factor this year. We will, however, be working on projects with Simon going forward - and as huge fans of the show, we will still be tuning into The X Factor, voting and winding Simon up! AWxx.' sic

Despite all the speculation, it's not yet been confirmed who will replace Robbie and Ayda, or if judges Louis Tomlinson and Simon Cowell will be returning.

The X Factor is due to return to ITV later in the year.
