It's certainly been a whirlwind of a week since Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer were crowned the winners of Love Island 2018. Despite being completely loved-up and inseparable, Dani was spotted looking upset and crying as she was photographed in her car towards the end of last week during a phone call.

After fans thought there could be trouble in paradise for the 2018 winners, Dani cleared things up when she appeared alongside her fellow Islanders on Love Island: The Reunion last night (5th August).

When show host Caroline Flack brought up the story, Dani quickly revealed she was actually talking to Samira Mighty on the phone, not her boyfriend Jack. She said, "I was talking to Samira."

Dani then told the nation the reason she was crying was because Frankie Foster had declared his feelings for Samira, telling her he "loves her".

She said, "This is when Frankie told Samira he loved her. And I was going 'Oh my God'. I wasn't even crying. I use expressions. It was quite scary because someone was videoing me. I don't like that."

Jack then backed up his girlfriend and said, "She was happy crying. I was blamed because I wasn't there."

Samira famously quit this year's Love Island to be with Frankie, after he was dumped from the villa just days into their relationship.

Speaking at the time, Samira told her fellow Islanders, "We’ve been here from the start and I finally got what I wanted and now I feel like I’m back at square one but worst. It’s unfinished business."

Meanwhile, despite meeting most of each other's family, Jack revealed on last night's show that he is yet to come face-to-face with Dani's famous dad, EastEnders star Danny Dyer.

Despite admitting the pair have exchanged a number of text messages, and that Danny is a fan of Jack, the actor and his wife Joanne Mas are still on holiday in America, meaning they've yet to meet their daughter's new boyfriend.

The couple also cleared up rumours that they plan to marry as early as next year, admitting to Caroline Flack they want to enjoy what they have for now.

Although Love Island is officially over for another year, don't panic! The popular dating show is returning in 2019, with over 25,000 people having already signed up to appear on the show.
