Jake Cornish has QUIT Love Island: All Stars after being paired with ex

After being in the villa for just three days, Love Island: All Stars Islander Jake Cornish has quit the show, after the public paired him with his ex-girlfriend, Liberty Poole.

ITV/STV bosses have now confirmed that 26-year-old Jake made the tough decision to leave after being 'really shocked' to see Liberty. After an emotional chat with host Maya Jama, he's now left.

In scenes which will air on Wednesday 17th January, Jake delivers some news to his fellow Islanders. He says: “Everyone can we go to the fire pit for a minute. I was here to find love and there is no one here I have that connection with. I just want to let you all know I am going tonight.”

Jake pulled Liberty for a chat before his departure.

During the launch episode on Monday 15th January, viewers witnessed series seven stars Jake and Liberty enter the villa, much to the shock of themselves and their fellow Islanders.

Jake was then left stood alone when none of the girls chose to couple up with him, whilst Chris Taylor was surrounded by three girls.

However, in a plot twist, the Islanders were then told it would be the public's decision about who they'll be coupled with, with Maya later confirming they'd chosen to pair up Jake and Liberty.

After hearing the news, Jake said: "I knew it", before adding: "I don't hate the girl."

Jake and Liberty originally appeared on series seven of Love Island back in Summer 2021, with the pair nearly making it all the way to the final.

After coupling up on Day One, the pair went all the way through the series together, even getting through Casa Amor, with fans thinking they were destined to win the show ahead of the likes of Liam Reardon and Millie Court, and Toby Aromolaran and Chloe Burrows.

HOWEVER, just days before the final, Liberty started to question Jake's intentions and later called things off between the pair.

Following their split, Liberty and Jake made the decision to leave the show one day before the final, telling their fellow Islanders at the time: "We've both come to the conclusion that at this moment in time it's best for us to go our separate ways, and we're gonna leave the villa."

Jake's exit will air on Wednesday 17th January.
