Local influencers rumoured to be heading into the Love Island villa

As ITV2's most-watched show, Love Island returns to our screens next week, the rumour mill has gone into overdrive with potential contestants and love interests.
Influencers and social media stars such as Olivia Atwood, Molly Mae Hague and Maura Higgins shot to overnight fame thanks to the award-winning show.
But it's been a while since we heard an NI accent strolling into the villa.
Belfast's answer to 'John Cena' Adam Maxted managed to finish fourth in the second series back in 2016. That same year, Maxted was joined by social media star Sinéad Hegarty, hailing from Co. Tyrone.

Rumours started flying earlier this month that Dublin Influencer Lucy Plunkett signed up for the show, but she's yet to feature in next week's line-up.
Plunkett's followers have been going crazy creeping her every move on social media lately. She took to TikTok yesterday, showing herself heading to the airport? I wonder where...Mallorca maybe?
Another popular influencer that would certainly keep the villa entertained this summer is Gerry Lavery aka Gerry Lavz.
He's been a fan of reality TV for years, who isn't these days, sharing throwback moments from Big Brother, X Factor and of course, Love Island.
Some of Gerry's own followers have started to wonder could 2021 be the year the comedy hero says goodbye to Instagram, and hello to the island of love.
