Fans have been going wild over a special snippet Irish legends Westlife teased on social media this morning.

Posting a short clip of a romantic sky with fluffy clouds, they shared only a handful of seconds of what appears to be their upcoming single.

The band wrote: "Could it be, could it be the start of something...?"

In the comments, fans shared their first reactions to the teaser, and some are golden!

One hilarious fan wrote: “Could do with a teaser with vocals as I’m off to a shocking start to my work week but this intro does sound nice and hope for some escapes from work to see the lads in the near future.”

Another joked: “😱😱😱😱😱 omg yes ! Already love it!”

The four-piece boy band know how to tease their fans, that's for sure!

Back in August, Nicky Byrne confirmed they had officially recorded everything for their 12th album!

Nicky posted a selfie beside his pristine piano and trusty microphone last night, explaining the challenges of working from home.

"Recording our new album individually - and remotely from our homes has been one hell of an experience! Dogs Barking, doorbell going, WiFi dropping out to mention just a few 🤷‍♂️ but we got there in the end!

"Now fully recorded, it’s currently in the oven and cooking time is approx 2/3 months. We may open the oven door at some point to sample our brand spanking new single as a starter…😉🙏 in the meantime trust me - it’s starting to smell Devine! For now our working title shall be..#BangersNSmash🔥"

We can't wait!
