Spice Girls' Geri Horner sent Little Mix flowers after BRITs victory

GIRL POWER. ❤️

Little Mix girls Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall made history at The BRIT Awards on Tuesday night (11th May), when they become the first ever girl band to win the British Group accolade.

After Pez and Lee Lee showed off their baby bumps on the red carpet, the 'Confetti' singers took to the stage to collect their award, thanking girls bands such as Girls Aloud, Sugababes, All Saints and the Spice Girls in a powerful speech.

As well as the bands tweeting their support for Little Mix, Perrie has now revealed Spice Girl Geri Horner sent the most beautiful bunch of flowers to the girls, thanking them for their 'shout out'.

Sharing a snap to her Instagram Story with a number of cute notes from various people in the industry, Geri's note reads: 'Dear Perrie, Congratulations. Thank you for the shout out. Love, Geri xxx Spice Girls'.

After being crowned the winners ahead of Bicep, Biffy Clyro, The 1975 and Young T & Bugsey, the girls said: "OMG guys, we have just made history! In the hopes that we would win, we've wrote a little speech. Two of us have baby brain so we had to write it down. We have been together for ten years, it's been the best years of our lives, we have gone through so much, had so much fun, made so many beautiful memories. We want to start by thanking our incredible fans, of course Jesy and our incredible team.

"It's not easy being a female in the UK pop industry. We've seen the white male dominance, misogyny, sexism and lack of diversity. We're proud of how we've stuck together, stood our ground, surrounded ourselves with strong women and now using our voices more than ever.

"The fact that a girlband has never won this award speaks volumes, this award isn't just for us, it's for the Spice Girls, Sugababes, All Saints, Girls Aloud, and all of the incredible female bands this is for you!"
