Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson had fans in tears earlier this year when her anti-bullying documentary 'Odd One Out' touched the hearts of the nation. Now, after fans called for the documentary to be shown in schools, 'Odd One Out' has been recognised by the National Television Awards.

The documentary, which showed Jesy breaking down as she recalled the moment she nearly took her own life due to online trolls, has been shortlisted for the Best Factual Award at the NTAs.

Expressing her delight on social media, Jesy wrote, 'Guys this is so exciting my documentary ‘Odd One Out’ has been shortlisted for the Best Factual Award at the National Television Awards! Anyone can vote, go to www.nationaltvawards.com/vote and scroll to page 5! Link in my bio. Please share ❤'. sic

Fans were quick to comment on the post, with many expressing their love for the 'Shout Out To My Ex' singer.

One user wrote, 'So excited and proud for you ❤️', with another adding, 'Voting for you every 5 seconds! We got this!! You deserve this more than anyone'. A third then wrote, 'JESY YOU QUEEN WE’RE SO HAPPY FOR YOU❤️🔥'. sic

Another then wrote, 'U guys are the most amazing people that I’ve ever seen I love you all to bits I’m so glad this group exists otherwise I would still be insecure'. sic

The inspirational documentary, which aired on Thursday 12th September, followed Jesy's journey of self-acceptance after being bullied by online trolls incessantly after rising to fame on The X Factor in 2012.

Odd One Out broke a viewing record for BBC Three, drawing in a massive 3.3 million viewers in just seven days. Jesy's documentary was also the most requested on BBC iPlayer, with 1.87 million requests mostly coming from 16-34 year-olds.

After the show aired, Jesy took to Instagram to write, 'So overwhelmed by the response to Odd One Out! It means the 🌎 to me ❤'. sic

Jesy is currently on tour with Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, with Little Mix enjoying the UK-leg of their 'LM5 Tour'.

Having already played dates in Belfast and Dublin, the popular girl band are set to visit Glasgow, Liverpool, Newcastle, Sheffield, London, Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester and Leeds throughout October and November.
